Pelco upgrades Spectra high speed security dome system to HD

Clovis, Ca (USA)

Pelco takes its Spectra camera dome positioning system to a whole new level of performance by introducing Spectra HD. The company has already received high praise with the introduction of this all-new, all digital, Sarix-based high-definition, high-speed dome system.
“Early showings of Spectra HD to customers are creating quite a buzz from all who see it,” says David Stanfield, Pelco Global Business Development Manager, Positioning Systems. “We are featured Spectra HD prominently on our booth at ASIS recently, where visitors could experience it for themselves.”

Spectra HD delivers crystal-clear images via IP for live streaming to a standard Web browser, Endura, Digital Sentry or other HD video management systems. Spectra HD features open architecture connectivity for third-party software recording solutions, allowing integration into virtually any IP-based HD system.

Incorporating the award-winning Sarix imaging technology platform, Spectra HD delivers up to four times the video resolution of standard-definition IP cameras and provides an incredible level of forensic video detail that security professionals demand. Spectra HD’s powerful 1.3 megapixel imager and all-digital processing deliver dual-stream H.264 and/or M-JPEG compression with up to 960p resolution for the ultimate in video system flexibility. Spectra HD features HD-optimised dome bubble technology, 18x optical zoom, auto-tracking, and precise 360° continuous PTZ control.

Spectra HD is an ideal network-based video security solution for education, corrections and other campus-based installations and many more. While optimised to work within a Pelco video system solution, Spectra HD also offers the benefits of open standards. Pelco recognises that third-party integration matters to many customers and is committed to open and integrated solutions.
