Onity Trillium to be launched in Dubai

Onity, a leading provider of electronic locks for more than 30 years, will introduce its newly launched Trillium lock series to Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) at the upcoming Hotel Show in Dubai.

This new line, along with Onity’s Directkey mobile-key solution for hotels, will be demonstrated at the Dubai World Trade Centre from 28-30 September 2015 at the end of this month.

“Much like the rest of the world, the hospitality industry is changing rapidly because of technology,” said Borja Ibarrondo, managing director, Onity & Supra, EMEA. “Properties need products that allow them to seamlessly offer the kind of efficient, secure and state-of-art experience that guests are accustomed to in other areas of their lives. Our new lock and suite of products provide exactly that.”

Due to be available in the autumn of 2015, the new Trillium lock series features a sleeker design to complement modern hotel aesthetics and includes advanced security options. Trillium locks will be available in three primary versions: a standard mag stripe lock, RFID lock with Mifare Plus technology and RFID lock with Directkey module on- board. Mifare Plus technology provides an enhanced security protocol for RFID locks.

Trillium locks are designed to provide an easy upgrade path for properties with Onity locks currently installed by using the existing footprint and door prep. Trillium locks will integrate with Onpoint Enterprise, Onity’s new front-desk solution. Onpoint Enterprise frees employees from behind the front desk and enables them to efficiently manage guest check-in and room operations from a tablet or mobile device.

Onity has its EMEA headquarters in Spain and operates as Onity S.L.U., and is part of UTC Building & Industrial Systems, a unit of United Technologies Corp.
