Nitek introduces new card to support IP cameras

Holland

Nitek's new unit for the UTPLinks system aims to integrate new cameras with the rest of your security system. The CIP16 series is a 4 channel IP crossover and power insertion card designed for use with the CX452 modular card cage (purchased separately).

The CIP16 crossover and power insertion card is a unique component of the UTPLinks system. The CIP16 card provides power for up to four IP cameras using the standard mid-point over ethernet (poe) pairs and RJ45 connections in the horizontal drop to each camera.

The CIP16 offers the means to connect the four IP cameras to a network device; i.e. hub, switch, etc. Up to five CIP16 cards may be plugged into a CX452 chassis to power a total of twenty cameras, or any combination of CIP16 cards may be used with other UTPLinks system cards in a CX452 card cage. In this way the UTPLinks system may be used to power and crossover both IP and standard analogue cameras in the same structured cabling network.
