Morpho signs MoU with Vietnamese bank

Morpho (Safran) and the Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV), the leading state-owned bank in Vietnam, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to promote and develop strategic collaboration to enhance IT security and relevant skill development of BIDV and its personnel.
Within the scope of this agreement, Morpho will promote the use of biometrics, payment and digital identity management technologies and solutions.

"By choosing Morpho's high-tech solutions for integration in our current systems, BIDV has gained a strategic partner, allowing us to give our clients and employees state-of-the-art, high-security biometric-based solutions," said Tran Bac Ha, Chairman and CEO of the Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam.

Philippe Petitcolin, Chairman and CEO of Morpho, added, "With this agreement, Morpho will give BIDV innovative solutions that will provide Vietnamese citizens with services combining security and ease of use. It also reflects Morpho's strategy for the continued development of our business in the Asian banking sector."
