Mall in Bahrain invests heavily in security

Manama, Bahrain

Bahrain City Centre, Bahrain's biggest and brightest mall, has recruited over 140 security staff and installed nearly 300 closed circuit television cameras to make the mall one of the safest places to shop in the GCC.

Due to open in September the mall's new general manager, Derek Rossel, has put visitors' safety at the centre of his plans to make shopping in Bahrain's iconic new mall so unique.
"We have the largest security force for a shopping complex in Bahrain -- coupled with the highest-standard, digital surveillance and security system."

"The safety of our employees and visitors comes first, so from the quality and training of our staff to the most modern surveillance systems, we've spared no expense," explains Derek Rossel.

"While our world-class surveillance systems will be discreet so that visitors and employees can feel confident that we will be quietly behind-the-scenes ensuring that everyone has a safe and enjoyable experience."

"But special security measures are just one of many firsts at the mall, I can't wait for people to see the rest," he added.

The security team have undergone rigorous "zero incidents" training which includes health and safety procedures and safety protocols including fire-fighting, mall patrolling, crowd management, traffic control and management of parking facilities, first aid as well as participating in customer service training to ensure that they are not only highly qualified to handle every security eventuality, but also do so in a manner that is courteous and respectful to our visitors and employees.
