Lilin decoder features virtual matrix functionality

Taipei, Taiwan and Milton Keynes, Bedfordshire (UK)

Lilin has recently enhanced its award-winning video decoder, VD022, with an upgraded virtual matrix functionality. The VD022, which won the 'Innovative Achievement' prize in the Detektor Security Awards 2012, is designed as a smart solution to easily expand an IP surveillance.
To view networking digital video recorders remotely on simple local monitor is now possible by using the virtual matrix, Lilin’s VD022 standalone HD decoder.

The VD022 decodes full 1080P video at up to 30FPS. As a virtual matrix function, the decorder supports remote control through an IR remote controller, keyboard, web interface, or on a touch-screen monitor. For a simple monitoring solution, the VD022 HD decoder allows the user to feed in 16 channels of video from Lilin's NVRs, DVRs and HD IP cameras over the internet and directly output to an HDMI monitor. It also allows the user to view archive playback from a networked NVR or DVR on a local monitor. As a PC with mouse control is not required, it makes IP video surveillance and display management easier than ever.

So far, without connecting to an NVR or PC, it has not been possible to view IP camera images remotely on a local monitor. With the VD022, as it performs as a virtual matrix system, it provides a smart solution to expand an IP surveillance system without the hassle. It allows the user to connect one single camera or 4 for quad view to a monitor. By incorporating numerous VD022 HD decoders, it flexibly supports almost all sizes of IP system in various applications and for multiple-site monitoring over the internet.

"Enabling streaming directly to a monitor without using a computer, the VD022 is an extremely cost effective way to view full HD IP video" commented the Detektor International Award panel of judges on awarding the certificate to Lilin.
