ISS wins Asia Pacific company of the year award from Frost & Sullivan

Singapore

The success and strong growth of ISS in Asia Pacific has earned ISS the title as the Facilities Management Company of the Year at the annual Frost & Sullivan Best Practices Awards in Singapore.
"We are indeed very proud, that Frost & Sullivan with this prestigious award are recognising the recent achievements of ISS in Asia Pacific. We see the award as a vote of confidence in ISS. Over the last decade we have successfully built our regional platform from which we integrate and self-deliver a complete set of facility services such as catering, cleaning, security, property and support services throughout this region and across the globe," said Thomas Hinnerskov, Regional CEO, ISS Asia Pacific when accepting the award on behalf of the company.

The regional head of ISS also used the opportunity to thank the many ISS em-ployees in the region. "Our employees are at the core of ISS. Without their deep engagement and all the purpose and pride they put into their daily efforts to service our customers, we would never have achieved this recognition. A personal thanks goes to each and every one of our 203,337 employees in the region," Hinnerskov said.

In 2012 the Asia region in ISS delivered a very strong performance, driven by an organic growth of 15%. Operating profit increased by 16% reflecting an operat-ing margin of 7.7%. In other words, Asia delivered the highest margin of any ISS region.

Recent contract wins in the region include a services contract covering 23 air-ports in India, a significant contract with Changi General Hospital in Singapore comprising mainly cleaning and washroom services as well as the increased scope of the existing contract with Singapore General Hospital. Furthermore, the Barclays contract has gone live throughout the region. In Australia ISS won im-portant renewals of large contracts within the Resource and Transportation segments e.g. the IFS contract with Searipple Mining Camp and the security contract at Perth Airport.
