The 7th edition of ISDEF is to take place from June 2-4, 2015. With an expected 250 exhibiting companies, among them small to medium size enterprises as well as major contractors from the Defence and HLS sector and 12,000 visitors from more than 90 nations, ISDEF aims to maintain its position as the largest defence and security exhibition in Israel and the only international trade show for the defence and security industry.
Foreign companies will constitute nearly 50% of the exhibitors and more than 85% of attendees have buying power. Decision makers from around the world; including Ministers of Defence, Chiefs of Staff, Chiefs of Police, Ministers of Interior and technical officers who are responsible for testing products attend ISDEF. ISDEF 2015 will include National Pavilions, a CBRNe zone, industry workshops and live demonstrations.
Interoperability will be a main focus at ISDEF this year, designed to highlight the growing importance of dual use products, systems and applications used for both defence and security purposes. The audience at ISDEF will include end users from both civilian/public security and military institutions. More than 64% of the exhibitors at ISDEF will be presenting dual use products meaning that not only will business opportunity be enhanced, but end users will be exposed to more features and capabilities that fulfill their demands [air, land and sea]. In Israel, homeland security and defence are parallel in many instances and this can be seen more and more throughout the world.
ISDEF is a business oriented exhibition, which has grown to become an increasingly important strategic tool and platform designed to initiate and encourage cooperation between companies, facilitate access to 3rd markets, increase export potential for companies and promote cutting edge technology, innovative products and systems which reflect the defence and security industry's ability to adapt and meet new challenges.
