IPsecuritycenter interfaced with the Shotspotter Gunshot Location System
Indianapolis, In (USA)
IPsecuritycenter has the ability to bring together disparate video sources, which means agencies can access feeds from third party CCTV systems, such as airports, shopping centres, hotels and convention centers. This gives them a much larger pool of cameras to use to assess a situation. Together the two systems will give a command and control centre complete situational management capabilities following a gunshot incident.
“CNL is committed to working with new technologies that provide end-users with improved security and greater efficiency. The Shotspotter GLS is a very exciting and complementary surveillance technology that allows IPsecuritycenter to obtain real-time alerts indicating the origin of a gunfire.” says Matthew Kushner, President, CNL Americas. “Combining gunfire detection and alerting technology ensures that when a firearm is discharged, agencies no longer need to rely on the delayed and imprecise reports of incidents from citizens. As a firearm discharge is detected, audio and video at and nearby the scene can instantly be available at any command centre, significantly increasing the chance of apprehending the culprits, obtaining evidence, finding witnesses, and enabling a more responsive police presence.”
