Intelligent DVR

Runcorn, UK

Honeywell announce that it has incorporated many new features into the latest release of its Fusion III line of digital video recorders that raise the product beyond the traditional analogue DVR role and bridge the gap between DVRs and NVRs. Fusion firmware release v3.5 includes enhancements such as fully integrated video and data analytics and expanded support for digital IP video sources. These upgrades improve performance and make Fusion easier to operate and more effective.

Fusion III v3.5 offers full integration with Honeywell intelligent video analytics via Honeywell's Active Alert, Smart Impressions and People Counter. These advanced video analytics automatically detect, analyse and classify the behaviour of people and vehicles in a scene. The technology greatly increases the accuracy of event detection while dramatically reducing false alarms. Instantaneous history of scene activity against user-selected parameters enables fast interactive searches on site and/or remotely.

Additionally, Fusion III v3.5 expands support for digital video sources including encoders and megapixel cameras. It also processes up to 16 channels of digital IP and offers advanced motion detection. Camera sabotage detection is now standard, as is analogue signal noise filtering. And all of these features are supported by a new, easier-to-operate user interface.

"Fusion III v3.5 provides centralised video management for installations of all sizes," says Chris Koetsier, EMEA marketing leader, Honeywell Video Systems "And with the addition of intelligent video analytics, Fusion automates the continuous surveillance process even further. It's ideal for banking and financial institutions, large retail chains, educational institutions, military bases, government agencies, manufacturing plants, utility sites and parking garages"
