High throughput wireless from KBC

London, UK

The new KBC Networks wireless HT series is designed to deliver simplicity and reliability with even greater performance. The new HT range will be presented at the forthcoming Intersec Dubai show.
According to KBC, the new HT range has been demonstrated to provide throughput in excess of 230Mbps across a wireless link. The units also feature a Gigabit port making them ideal for backhaul and megapixel camera installations.

The KBC HT series features extended operating temperatures and is available in all of its wireless formats: point-to-point, point-to-multipoint and redundant ring mesh. With both passive PoE and 802.3af/at PoE variants, the products also boast the same plug-and-play design as KBC’s existing WESII and MeshII ranges, with graphical system mapping and a number of installation tools for straightforward and optimal setup.

The transmission provider will also bring along the latest versions of its Thrulink range to the Dubai show, and will be demonstrating how secure, live video can be streamed over 3G / 4G networks. The Thrulink units have already been employed by a number of police forces and municipal organisations to provide real-time, mobile surveillance from patrol vehicles.

KBC will be joined on their stand at Intersec by regional partners, Penta Techsecure. Together with KBC’s EMEA team, the Dubai-based engineering group provides design services and support within the region for the complete KBC range of industrially hardened, IP LAN, IP WAN, wireless, fibre optic and HD video transmission products.
