In manual mode, 360º continuous panning at up to 100º per second is complemented by up to 40º per second tilting. The tilt ranges between - 90º and + 40º, allowing viewing above the horizon. Fast movement by manual operation remains smooth, as both pan and tilt speed are scaled automatically to the amount of zoom. Autopan and Patrol functions are extremely precise, with (labelled) position and area presets accurate to 0.02º. Different speeds (up to 40º per second pan, 30º per second tilt) can be assigned within Patrol or Autopan sequences. Masked areas can also be set up.

The solution is very flexible, allowing the system to be tailored to meet the requirements of a broad variety of applications. Multi-protocol capability, including Bosch's proprietary Bilinx and Biphase, makes the new Bosch high speed positioning system easy to both operate and integrate into existing systems. Installation and maintenance effort is minimal especially as the strong, aerodynamic case completely encloses the system. A sunshield adds further protection, from weather as well as strong sunlight, while versions with wiper and optional washer are also available.
