Gunnebo signs order worth 2.3 MEUR for TV surveillance at 89 Decathlon stores in France

The Gunnebo security group has booked an order worth 2.3 MEUR through its French subsidiary Gunnebo France for the installation of TV surveillance systems in 89 of French sporting goods chain Decathlon's stores.

Decathlon, which also owns such well-known French chains as Auchan, Norauto and Kiabi, has previously bought security equipment from Gunnebo in the form of safes and remote-controlled surveillance systems.
The new order involves the installation of around 20 video cameras in each store to provide security for both employees and customers.
"We were looking for a solution that would provide surveillance in all our stores from a single centre, and we recognised the ability and determination of Gunnebo France in driving this project in close co-operation with us. Gunnebo is a company that possesses considerable experience and expertise in this field," says Bernard Maugein, security director at Decathlon.
"Decathlon is just the sort of customer that Gunnebo's new organisation has been designed to serve," says Göran Gezelius, Gunnebo's President and CEO. "Several different Gunnebo companies were supplying Decathlon with security equipment and systems, and we can now offer the entire range of products from Gunnebo through a single account contact for each customer."
