Intersec in Dubai attracted 630 exhibiting companies and resulted in 16,314 visits by industry professionals (8.157 net visitors). Encouraged by both the volume and quality of attendance, more than 100 exhibitors have already signed up to take part in the next Intersec Middle East event, scheduled for 13 - 15 January 2008. Organised by Messe Frankfurt, the company is negotiating double the amount of space at the massive Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Commenting on behalf of Messe Frankfurt in Dubai, Chris Hudson, chief operating officer, says "This year has really placed Intersec Middle East on the international map. This is no longer a regional show, but something that all major international companies recognise as a platform to do business with major firms and government organisations in the Middle East area."

A total of 48 different countries were represented by exhibiting companies. Naturally UAE were represented by the most, 127 exhibiting companies. Among other big countries were China, UK, Germany, Italy, Taiwan, Korea and USA. Some of the foreign exhibiting companies were organized under country specific pavilions such as the Scandinavian, German, USA and Chinese.

The variety of the visitors reached 79 different countries. The major part of the visitors came from Middle-East countries with a big representation from UAE, Iran, Oman, Kuwait and Qatar. Approximately 21 % of the visitors was international.

The visitors showed most interest in:

- Access Control Systems 39 %
- Fire Safety & Fire-fighting equipment 36 %
- Integrated system 31 %
- CCTV 26 %
- Intruder and Fire Alarm 20 %

Media Matters states that 97 % of the exhibitors' expectations were met or surpassed.
"Without any doubt Intersec MiddleEast is vital to the growth of our product in the region," commented, Jim Dickinson, regional manager of Great Lakes Chemical Corporation, one of the exhibitors.

The next years Intersec will be held 13th-15th of January 2008 in Dubai.
