DM enjoys record Intersec success with Closed IPTV
Warrington, Cheshire (UK)
Said Salim Idris, General Manager (Middle East) at Dedicated Micros:"We have been delighted with the phenomenal response at Intersec to Closed IPTV and its market-leading capabilities. The integrators and end users we spoke to were impressed not only by its, demonstrated, potential to auto-configure IP cameras but also, crucially, the ability to deliver heightened network security. A key aspect from a security standpoint was a real appreciation of how Closed IPTV can address the vulnerability of unsecured end points and the potential for hacking in or out of their physical network."
Alongside Dedicated Micros' high profile presence at the Intersec 2011, a special event was also arranged to follow-on from the exhibition. Held at the Metropolitan Hotel in Dubai, the full-day briefing session was attended by nearly 50 integrators and installers from across the region. Hosted by Salim Idris, Dedicated Micros' General Manager in the Middle East, topics covered included: 'The Impact of IP video surveillance', 'IP Networking Design for Video surveillance' and 'Closed IPTV In-depth'.
Delegates reported that they found the high level sessions extremely beneficial, as underlined by the positive feedback post-event. Said Basit Karim CEO of CityLinks, Pakistan, "This was an eye opener...we learnt so much about the issues that are critical to have video on IP networks, including the need for security, simplicity and the necessary skills required to design, install and maintain a good working IP CCTV system".
Added Ali Azim Mohammad of Al Hadaaf Company, Sudan:"The detail with which the critical IP network issues were covered in Dedicated Micros' seminar, like the security of camera feeds and bandwidth loading, particularly with the demand for more megapixel and HD video, was outstanding. This proved especially beneficial for those installers who are new to putting video on IP"
