Divar XF firmware updated

Ottobrunn, Germany

The latest version of Bosch Security Systems' Divar XF firmware embodies advanced automatic event handling that allows events to automatically trigger actions. This enables different automated actions to be made depending on the type of event. For example, cameras can be moved into pre-determined positions, changes made to recording profiles or displaying of multiple cameras on screen.

Studies have shown that operators can miss up to 95% of the activity in a scene after only 22 minutes of continuous monitoring. The fully automated event-handling schemes embodied in the new firmware upgrade provide, in effect, 'an extra pair of hands' that help operators by bringing crucial events to their attention instantly, ensuring prompt, reliable responses to security alerts.

The Divar XF firmware 2.5 upgrade is free of charge and can be downloaded via the Bosch Security Systems websites.

The Divar XF H.264 Hybrid Recorder is Bosch's latest addition to the company's high performance CCTV recorder range. This recorder supports real-time high quality video in H.264 compression on a total of 24 channels, with up to eight H.264 IP cameras and RAID-4 storage to prevent loss of video when a single hard disk fails.
