Dhahi chairs security committee meeting‏
Dubai, UAE
The Dubai Police Commander-in-Chief, Lieutenant General, Dhahi Khalfan Tamim, chaired a meeting of the General Security committee which oversees the implementation of security strategies in the UAE.
The meeting was held under the directives of Lieutenant General Shaikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior. It was attended by top police officers and directors of the Criminal Intelligence Departments from all over the UAE.
During the get-together, the officers discussed he challenges facing police forces especially fighting crime in a globalised world. They also looked into the different strategies that the Ministry of Interior has rolled out to establish security in each individual emirate.
At the same time, the meeting discussed the different programs that each police force has initiated to fight crime within their jurisdictions. They also agreed on implementing various awareness campaign to educate the public about different trends in crime.
