Intersec contains four specialised areas, enabling the visitors to find exhibitors and speakers most relevant to their interests. Each section has also a dedicated conference area, where conferences (covering all 4 products lines of Intersec) are being held alongside the exhibition.
The Intersec event incorporates Commercial Security ME which attracted approximately 230 exhibitors showcasing more than 600 brands, demonstrating the importance of a security event in the Middle East
Also Police & Homeland Security ME, supported by Dubai Police, is included. In 2006 this area of the even hosted 67 exhibitors, covering more than 1128sqm from the police and homeland security industries. Police & Homeland Security gave new insights on border control, anti terrorism, command control, policing equipment, airport security, and forensics to name a few areas of specialization.
Fire Middle East is another brick in the Intersec concept, , strongly supported by the Dubai Civil Defence. In 2006 it attracted more than 80 exhibitors, covering 1500 sqm, from the fields of fire fighting and fire prevention.
Finally we have Safety & Health ME, supported by major associations in the safety sector such as the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH). In 2006 this part attracted almost 50 exhibitors covering more than 500 sqm from the fields of safety and health.
The latest edition of the region´s leading security and safety trade fair, Intersec, recorded substantial, record breaking statistics on all previous years. Featuring 450 exhibitors from over 40 countries, the organizers, Messe Frankfurt, commissioned independent research and visitor audits. This revealed an increase of 59% on visitor traffic, notching up a total of 14,523 specialist and trade visits from over 20 countries during the three day programme.
