Dahua releases 720p HDCVI vari-focal cameras

Hangzhou, China

Dahua Technology has introduced two new vari-focal HDCVI cameras - 720p IR box camera HAC-HFW1100R-VF and IR dome HAC-HDBW1100R-VF, which further complete the company's HDCVI portfolio.

The two new vari-focal HDCVI cameras output clear and crisp images at 25/30 frame per second in 720p, and their focal length reaches 2.7-12mm, allowing for a more flexible monitoring view, which means, one single camera can be adjusted for different target areas based on user needs.  In addition it only takes three steps to achieve focus-adjustments: first, open the cover; second, loosen, rotate and fasten the screws inside, and third, put the cover back; this super ease-of-use should certainly be welcome amongst small-to-medium scaled application owners who, for example, run retail stores, SOHO, hotels or manage a school or an organisation, with a need for high definition image quality while also having to deal with budget limitations.

Meanwhile, the camera covers an IR distance of up to 30 metres, providing efficient night monitoring performance thanks to the smart IR algorithm, which features non-LDR (light-dependent resistor) technology, enabling an intellectual algorithm to detect more accurate timing of ICR filer switching on/off as well as to adjust the IR LEDs current for better visual effect under low-light scenarios. What’s more, the three-axis bracket design of the box camera HAC-HFW1100R-VF makes the camera 360-degree rotatable, preventing the possibility of dead monitoring areas. The IP66 rating protects the cameras against water and dust, and the IK10 rated dome can withstand vicious sabotage attempts.

"HDCVI is picking up very promisingly and customers are starting to expect more,” said John Li, HDCVI Product Manager at Dahua Technology. "We take customers’ requests into consideration, and integrate convenience and ease-of-use together; meanwhile, the designers follow ‘Bauhaus” to make the product simple and sleek, which is very pleasing outside.”

"As we arlready know, the HDcctv Alliance has launched the analogue HD standard ‘AT2.0’ on the basis of HDCVI, ensuring 100% plug ‘n’ play remote control of any camera from any compliant DVR,” said Li. "AT2.0 is open and interoperable, collaborating with partners in the HDcctv Alliance to jointly accelerate the global migration to HD. We will further refine and complete the product line to 2k and 4k in the coming versions.”
