The Bio-XK biometric unit incorporates DESFire fingerprint software offering Triple (3) DES (Digital Encryption Standard ) encryption between a DESFire card and reader, delivering the most secure card transaction process available. This proven encryption is used daily by the UK Banking fraternity. By adding BQT's HSM unit (High Security Module) to the readers wiegand line to the access panel, the customer in effect has a 128 bit encrypted data line from card through reader to the panel and then the server.
