As CFO, Manel Baranera will lead the company’s European controllorship, manage Bluestar’s European investments and capital structure, and offer insight into the development of future financial plans affecting the European region.

He will also oversee Bluestar’s European budgets and forecasting, cultivate and maintain credit line relationships, and help fuel projected growth across Europe for 2012 and into the future.

Manel Baranera has a background in accounting, finance and business management. He also has extensive experience in the RFID and ADC industries, serving as CEO of Datopack, a leading Spanish distributor of RFID technology, where he managed three separate solutions lines. Manel Baranera was previously CFO at Impuls ID Distribution as well, handling structured and managed financials for six companies in five countries.

Manel will focus on maintaining this strength in the midst of significant regional economic headwinds,” said Bluestar’s Vice President of Finance, Doug Bivins. “With more than 15 years of experience in distribution, Manel’s industry knowledge and leadership will play a key role in the financial oversight and structure of our European region.”

Manel Baranera will work from Bluestar’s Barcelona office. Bluestar is a distributor of solutions-based ADC, mobility, point-of-sale, RFID, and digital signage technology.
