London, UK

Axis Communications' Martin Gren, one of the co-founders and Board Member at the company has been named by Ifsec as the most influential player globally within the security and fire industries. This follows an event last autumn where he was also awarded the title of "Security Entrepreneur of the Year" by Detektor magazine.
“I am very happy and honoured to be ranked as global number one in the security and fire industries,” says Martin Gren, Board member of Axis Communications and one of the founders of the company.

Axis Communications released the world’s first network camera in 1996. Today Axis is the market leader in network video and driving the ongoing shift from analogue to digital video surveillance.

Per Björkdahl, Chairman of the Board of ONVIF and also Director of Strategic Business Development at Axis Communications, came third in Ifsec Global’s ranking. Keith Bloodworth, one of the co-founders of Axis Communications and currently CEO of CNL Software was also placed sixth in the ranking.

Ifsec Global, focusing on the security and fire industries, has listed the 40 most influential people in the world in these industries. The list was produced in connection with the 40th IFSEC International exhibition which will be staged in Birmingham, UK from May 13-16, 2013.
