Aver Intelligent Retail Revolution line features IVA

Taipei, Taiwan

Aver recently made a debut with its brand-new IP camera line designed with cutting edge IVA features, which bring the Internet of Things technology into retail management and surveillance.

At the Intersec show in Dubai in January Aver showcased these innovative intelligent video analysis (IVA) features that are designed to boost retail efficiency and integrate Aver’s intelligent retail solution into the Internet of Things. Amongst them, a people counting function is offered to monitor the number of people within a certain area, it can also alert management when that area approaches maximum capacity. In addition, one of the new functions on display was the blacklist feature, which is capable of storing details of people who have been banned from a store and is able to alert management if they return. Similarly, the VIP feature keeps an eye out for particularly valued customers, allowing staff time to make special preparations.

Among the IP cameras, Aver showcased the ED5000, its first fisheye camera. This 5 megapixel camera provides 5 separate streams of output and hardware de-warp, permitting efficient surveillance of large areas with just one camera. The ED5000 supports Aver’s full range of IVA features, including the upcoming heat map feature, which will display where people are more likely to walk or linger, and people tracking. In addition, Aver exhibited its new 2 megapixel FD2000-1 mini dome, featuring a wide angle lens and an inconspicuous compact design, and the FD2000-1 also features quick, hassle-free 4-step installation.
