Assa Abloy unveils new enhanced line of contactless credentials

Walluf, Germany

Assa Abloy ITG launches its enhanced line of contactless credentials using NXP mifare mini. This new IC has been integrated in a huge variety of form factors such as ISO cards, ID bands, key fobs or other Sokymat products to offer a wide selection of cost-effective credentials for various requirements in access control and personal identification solutions.

The mifare mini is designed for such applications that require only small memory size but offering the same security features and file structure as mifare standard 1k. Typical applications include building access and personal identification solutions such as used for instance within recreational areas to open lockers or pass through entry gates.

Offering the same security as mifare 1K Byte, mifare mini's main technical features include 320 Byte EEPROM, a unique serial number with four byte and five securely separated sectors supporting multi-application for converged market requirements.

"This new Sokymat product line with mifare mini ic enables us to provide our customers with a cost-effective card or key fob or any other credential while the main electrical and functional characteristics are maintained", says Damien Cardinaux, business segment manager access & security at ITG.
