Airlive IVS solutions attract interest

Taipei, Taiwan

The 34th Computex, was the largest ICT trade show in Asia and the second largest in the world, held from 3rd to 7th June 2014.  In the five day period, Computex 2014 attracted 38,662 international buyers from 166 countries, an overall 1% growth.  At the show, Airlive exhibited up-to-date intelligent surveillance systems and comprehensive solution products to usher people towards the trend of advanced surveillance applications.

As the need for intelligent surveillance has been increasing, the live demo of Object Counting was a particular aspect that caught many people’s attention at the show. Airlive received a whole host of enquiries an this subject. On top of this, as a solution provider, Airlive also showcased the App Cam series, multifunctional wireless devices, smart PoE Switch and the Core NVR Series.

Object Counting and Face Detection are two of the six intelligent functions in the Airlive IVS (Intelligent Video System) cameras. The other four are Face Recognition, I-Motion, Trip Zone and E-Fence. Object Counting counts people/vehicles moving in/out of an area, so it is helpful in managing crowds or vehicles. Users are able to export the counting results for additional usage such as merchandising display analysis or business evaluation. In contrast, Face Detection detects faces in a picture and counts the faces. The maximum number will be recorded. It can be used for cashier/counter management or activity success evaluation.

Airlive used the MD-3025-IVS to demonstrate Object Counting as well as Face Detection. The live demo of Object Counting gave visitors a fresh taste of intelligent surveillance. On the Airlive stand, visitors not only viewed the user interface, but also walked to and fro to try it out. As for Face Detection, visitors could see the frames for counting faces on the screen. They were fascinated by the intelligent functions, and many expressed their interest in applying them in projects.

In addition to intelligent cameras, solution products such as the App Cam Series, Airmax5X, Device Guard Switch and Core NVR Series were among the most-requested items, too. The App Cam, a series of full HD and HD home cameras with Campro Mobile developed by Airlive, allows people to view/play back video direct to the mobile phone/tablet even when they are away from home. Airmax5X, the upcoming multifunctional wireless product, can transmit a signal to a distance of up to 20 kilometers, and meanwhile supply power to IP cameras. And, the Device Guard Switch can automatically detect if an IP Cam or Access Point has crashed and reboot it. The switch saves on costs for technicians especially in a large IP Cam installation. The Core NVR Series offers stable storage of the recoded video, and it can also supply power to IP cameras.

These products are meant for building strong and stable surveillance deployment. The more solid the deployment, the better the surveillance performance.
