ADAC holds seminar on aviation security
Abu Dhabi, UAE
The seminar on aviation security was organized by Abu Dhabi Airports Company (ADAC).
"The purpose of the workshop was to bring our team up to date on security challenges and effective means of keeping them at bay" says H.E. Khalifa Al Mazrouei, ADAC's chairman and managing director.
"Security is one of ADAC's key thrusts for operating both airports. We should work hard to further strengthen the security of our airports through the introduction of physical security measures, raising the competency level of security staff, and enhancing security awareness among all airport staff" says Ibrahim Al Mansoor, operations manager, ADAC. "For us to succeed in our security efforts, we cannot rely solely on the airport police. We need the collective efforts of all agencies and companies serving the two airports. Each and every airport staff has a critical role to play to make the airports secure and safe for our passengers"
Mr. Kevin Luke, aviation adviser to the general civil aviation authority, informed the participants on the functions of the international civil aviation organisation (ICAO) and the significance of the national civil aviation programme.
The presentations were followed with question and answer sessions.
