ADAC "Safety campaign" brings UAE airports together
Abu Dhabi, UAE
ADAC's "Safety Campaign" event is planned as an annual event and with the intention of instilling a pro-active, unified, and multi-agency approach to safety procedures and protocols across its operations.
From 6-10 April, there will be a tented area in the Al Dar VIP Car Park next to ADAC's offices which will house over 15 stands, manned by representatives from all airport agencies. All airport staff are expected to attend and benefit from the event and to gain greater understanding on how co-operation between agencies can build and maintain the highest levels of safety for passengers and employees.
At the informal opening ceremony, held in the main exhibit area, ADAC's Chairman and Managing Director, H.E. Khalifa Al Mazrouei, said: "Safety and security is the number one priority and are the foundation from which progress at all our airports is built."
"Above all it is about cooperation. About realising that we all have a role to play from the man cleaning the restrooms so as to ensure passengers do not slip, to the vigilance of the police on the gates and X-ray machines, to the guys up in the control tower and driving on the apron," added Al Mazrouei.
"We must all realise that we all rely on each other to create a safe environment for our customers, passengers and ourselves," Al Mazrouei concluded.
