Wearable cameras help deter incidents and positively influence behaviour, for both the public and the wearers. As a result, demand continues to grow, including in retail, healthcare, and transportation.
The new Axis W111 body worn camera offers all-day battery performance, supporting 16 hours in standby mode, and between 10 hours (720p) and 7.5 hours (1080p) of recording. An indicator light and voice notification provide transparency that recording is active, and, when one body worn camera is activated, others nearby can be automatically activated as well. Together with up to 120 seconds of pre-buffering, this can help capture the full context of what really happened.
In addition, an updated magnetic mounting system ensures secure wear, even in fast-paced environments. It captures excellent image and audio for forensic usability and documentation, and it is compatible with Axis Body Worn Live for real-time streaming.
Some of the key features of the new device include:
- Lightweight and compact (99g, 82.5x55x19 mm)
- Battery that lasts all day
- Flexible, secure mounting options
- Open standards for easy integration
- End-to-end encryption and strong cyber security
Built on open standards, it integrates seamlessly with Axis Camera Station as well as third-party on-prem or cloud-based VMS solutions. The system supports scalable storage without compromising image quality and enables easy, efficient retrieval of footage.
Designed with strong cyber security, including end-to-end encryption, it also complies with data protection and privacy regulations, enabling use in sensitive environments such as healthcare.
