Founded by Hayden and Rachael Burr on October 15, 2003, ICT has grown from humble beginnings to become a globally recognised pioneer of security technologies. Hayden Burr, CEO states “My vision was a unification of access control, intrusion, and automation. The key part was to make it simple. We designed something that could handle intrusion, access control, or building automation independently - but shows its true power when combined.”

This year the company celebrates 20 years of security people and property, and today ICT secures tens of thousands of properties around the world, with the global headquarters, R&D, and manufacturing in New Zealand and offices in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Australia, and Hong Kong.

Burr continues “The business is focused on solving customer problems 100% of the time, this has been the driving force behind the evolution of our hardware and software over the past twenty years.”

Continual product refinements are testament to this focus, which is why ICT dedicates 40% of the New Zealand workforce to research and development. Significant investments have been made to drive market innovation, with further expansion underway in North America and EMEA.

“Exciting developments are on the horizon. Our new cloud-based access and security platform Protege X includes the latest cyber security protection, offering complete scalability and unified management. You can also expect to see several new releases as ICT embarks on further growth in 2024.” explains Burr.

ICT extends a heartfelt thanks to all its partners for their contribution to the company's success.
