How should access control systems be designed to facilitate compliance with NIS2 and CRA?

Spac Alliance, which stands for Smart Physical Access Control Alliance, is an international membership organization aiming to bring together key stakeholders in access control to actively contribute to the foundation of strong European sovereignty.

The key points of SPAC's presentation at Sectech are:

• Highlighting the new security paradigm (the connection between physical and logical security, as well as end-to-end security).
• Summarizing the two main regulations leading to certifications and standards.
• Promoting secure and sovereign solutions and standards, including the SSCP protocol.

Great emphasis will be placed on cyber threats and hybrid attacks, as well as how Europe, through the EU's regulatory framework, responds to them, for example, with NIS2 and the Cyber Resilience Act (CRA).

The presentation will also cover how regulatory requirements can be met, using examples such as an organization operating an outdated access control system.

Additionally, it will provide information about the SSCP ecosystem and certifications, as well as the benefits of SPAC membership.
