Videology streaming video security cameras FIPS 201 compliant

Greenville, RI

The National Institute of Standards and Technology has certified Videology Imaging Solutions' 24Z704USB and 24C7.38USB streaming video cameras as FIPS 201 compliant.
Used in facial image capturing systems, Videology’s USB photo cameras now meet US federal government standards specifying Personal Identity Verification (PIV) requirements, ensuring full interoperability and compliance with existing as well as future PIV cards.

The 24Z704USB, a 2 Megapixel USB colour autofocus zoom security camera and the 24C7.38USB, a 1.3 Megapixel USB CMOS colour security camera are ideal for simple visual identification and are also suited for integration into access control or biometric systems. All Videology USB cameras and SDK’s are maintained for a 5 year longevity to ease the burden on software and hardware integrators.

"FIPS 201 compliance has been a real priority for Videology and we view it as a major accomplishment," says Videology’s Vice President of Engineering, Bob Mansfield. “Achieving FIPS 201 compliance adds further value to our line of USB image capture products.”

CEO Carol Ethier continues: "The US Government security market is in constant motion and Videology is committed to responsive product development - it’s one way we stay ahead of the pack."

Videology's photo identity cameras are listed on the General Services Administration's FIPS 201 Approved Products List (GSA APL) and are supported by Aware Pre-facesoftware.
