UBM launches new homeland security show in San Diego

UBM has announced the launch of National Security Technology Expo which will be held at the San Diego Convention Center (SDCC) from the 6th - 8th February 2012.
UBM is a leading global organiser of government and commercial security events with 40 year’s experience organising security events including security exhibitions in the UK, India, South Africa, Nigeria and Saudi Arabia.

National Security Technology Expo is a new annual exhibition and conference providing a unique opportunity for the representatives from across the US Government responsible for protecting the US air, sea and land borders to see the latest security technology available both within the USA and technology innovators and leaders outside the USA. The event will address the requirements for all the sectors of airport, border and maritime security and disaster management and will provide a unique showcase for International and US innovative new technology solution providers.

Delegates and visitors to National Security Expo will include representatives from the Department of Homeland Security (TSA, US Coast Guard, Customs & Border Protection, FEMA), FBI, NSA, police and law enforcement departments, airport and port authorities, the Department of Transportation and the DoD – the organisations responsible for keeping the US homeland safe.

On the West coast there is a high concentration of US Government including the 11th District Coast Guard HQ and the US EOD School in San Diego. Alongside National Security Technology Expo 2012 there will be Conference with senior US and International government speakers and a two day Technology Workshop which will include a series of briefings by the Department of Homeland Security on the ongoing and future requirements of the US Government. Day 2 of the Technology Workshop will give participants an opportunity to meet with homeland security personnel for more detailed discussions on how to communicate products and services available and their needs in the First Responder community.
