The group, which spanned senior management to sales/administrative staff, laboured for the full seven day week on a home that was under construction. Everyone on the team held their own performing various tasks including demolition, digging a foundation, and installing gables, tresses, hurricane plates and vinyl siding - all without the aid of automated machinery.

Habitat for Humanity is a nonprofit, ecumenical Christian ministry founded on the conviction that every man, woman and child should have a decent, safe and affordable place to live. They build with people in need regardless of race or religion and welcome volunteers and supporters from all backgrounds. Habitat for Humanity homes are made simple and affordable to low-income families around the world. The ministry has helped build over half a million affordable houses and served 2.5 million people worldwide to honour its vision: a world where everyone has a decent place to live.

The main house that the Tri-Ed / Northern Video team worked on was being built for a mother, her two children and handicapped grandmother. In order to be eligible for a Habitat home, the recipient must be a single parent with children, make under $25,000 and work on building at Habitat for a total of 500 hours.
