In this new role Ms. Prono’s primary responsibility will be growing Symetrica’s relationship with U.S. and international government agencies. A key need for the business is to ensure that customers and end users understand the real-world operational benefits of Symetrica's technology.

Additionally, Ms. Prono will lead the engagement with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and will spearhead Symetrica's development in the Asia region through developing a distributor network.

Prior to working at Symetrica, Ms. Prono was the Director for Radiation Detection Business Development in North America for Rapiscan Systems. She also spent five years as a Foreign Affairs Specialist for the U.S. Department of Energy/National Nuclear Security Administration (DOE/NNSA) Second Line of Defence (SLD) Programme (now the Nuclear Smuggling Detection and Deterrence (NSDD) Program), that aims to strengthen the capacity and commitment of foreign partners to deter, detect, and interdict illicit trafficking in nuclear and other radioactive materials within and across international borders.

Ms. Prono has supported nuclear nonproliferation programmes at Los Alamos and Pacific Northwest National Laboratories. She holds a M.A. in International Affairs from American University, B.A. in Political Science from Northwestern University, and Certificate in Government from the London School of Economics.
