Spanish show receives thumbs up from Honeywell and GE

According to the organisers an exit evaluation of attendees to the 7th Product and Image Security Exhibition and Conference, otherwise known as PISEC, recently held in Barcelona, Spain, has revealed that 100 percent of the respondents found the event to be either very useful or useful in relation to their company and its activities.

The event on the 2nd-4th October featured a line-up of senior speakers and participants from end-users, solutions providers and other experts, including Nike, Ferrari, The Edrington Group, Novartis, Experian, Rangers FC, Celtic FC, Tommy Hilfiger, CIBA, FNMT, General Electric, Umbro and Diageo.
Pavlik Olsa, Marketing Manager of Honeywell, said the event "gave sound and profound insight into what's really happening regarding piracy and counterfeiting. There was a good mix of brand owners, solution providers and legal bodies. All different sectors and organisations had a chance to speak."
A senior project manager from Diageo said: "Great opportunity to meet such a lot of industry professionals in a short space of time. It was useful to gain insights from the many different sectors working together to combat counterfeiting; from other brand owners to the legal profession. The presentations were of a very high standard and the discussions that some of the presentations provoked were extremely interesting"
Fraser Morrison, Brand Protection Manager from the Edrington Group, said, "I am pleased to say that I was far more impressed with PISEC than I had expected to be. It was a fantastic opportunity to not only get together with other brands, but also to meet companies who were genuinely interested in listening to what I had to say, and who were not just interested in selling me their product"
Sophie Casenave, Industry Manager from General Electric, added; "The best part of the event was listening to the brand owners and hearing what they really need. The networking was very valuable: with brand owners in particular; but also within the security industry: good to know what's new, finding out who is doing what and discussing the challenges we are all facing."
