Sightlogix releases new thermal Sightsensor system

Princeton, NJ

Sightlogix recently introduced their newest thermal Sightsensor system at ISC West in Las Vegas. The new Sightsensor overcomes the limitations of thermal imaging during daytime and hot weather to deliver some of the most accurate outdoor video analytics and clearest thermal images at mainstream prices.
The new solution brings thermal analytic capabilities to a wider market, with pricing per metre comparable to costs of fence sensors and visible cameras with analytics. This has been achieved by doubling the Sightsensor’s on-board image processing, reducing the costs of the electronics and housing, and streamlining manufacturing. In addition to thermal, the new Sightsensor camera is available in a lower-cost day/night visible version.

“The all-new Thermal Sightsensor brings thermal video analytics to the same price-per-metre as other modalities for perimeter security,” said John Romanowich, President and CEO, Sightlogix. “Our new-generation product extends the benefits of the industry's most accurate outdoor security and makes it available and affordable for more users.”

The new thermal Sightsensor outdoor camera leverages powerful on-board video processing for high probability of detect (PD) and low nuisance alarm rates (NAR) while providing crisp, clear images night and day. With four times the processing of most alternatives, Sightsensors cover twice the range and four times the area, cutting overall project costs in half while expanding security coverage. The thermal Sightsensor consists of a thermal imager, complete with lens optics, electronic stabilisation, image contrast enhancement, video analytics software, camera control, and geospatial target tracking within a ruggedized, NEMA 4X nitrogen-filled housing.
