Siemens Building Technologies acquires hundred percent of MAC Systems, Inc., an access control and security management system company located in Canton, Massachusetts, USA. Since 1981 MAC Systems has been operating successfully and belongs to the major players in the regional electronic security market. In addition to CCTV and video recording systems, MAC Systems is specialized in optical as well as in biometric access control systems.

MAC Systems adesses a wide range of market segments spanning research centers, universities, high security government facilities and other commercial used buildings. Currently the company employs a workforce of 60 people and has large customer base throughout the business region of the US New England states. MAC Systems will be fully integrated in the Siemens Building Technology Division.
