Secura Key releases SK-Net Version 5.1

Chatsworth, Ca

Secura Key's is launching SK-Net Version 5.1, which includes support for the latest Nova.16 sixteen-door control panel, which creates an entirely new system architecture, drastically reduces cabling and installation costs, and facilitates system expansion.
The Nova.16 uses RS485 to interconnect the new Smart Readers (available for both e*Tag and Radio Key technologies), which each contain all of the inputs and outputs to control and monitor a single door.

SK-Net 5.1 also supports new features in the SK-ACPE 2-door control panel, such as built-in network connectivity and battery monitoring.  SK-NET 5.1 is fully backward compatible with legacy control panels, allowing a system to include several generations of Secura Key’s 2-door control panels, plus Nova.16s.  Familiar system paradigms have all been preserved, allowing experienced SK-Net users to expand their systems using newer terminal types with virtually no learning curve.

A utility called SK Lan Installer is included with the release, enabling the user to scan the entire network and locate all connected Secura Key control panels, allowing IP addresses to be assigned or modified while panels are installed on the network.  SK-Net 5.1 works with Microsoft Windows Versions XP or greater.
