Samsung Senior VP appointed to SIA Executive Board

Mr Frank De Fina, Samsung's Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing, North America has been designated to the Security Industry Association (SIA) Board of Directors, as Vice-Chairman of the Board's six-member Executive Committee, which is composed of industry professionals who represent a broad spectrum of electronic security interests.
“These are exciting times for the electronic security industry in terms of technology development and the expanded vision for its use," said Mr. De Fina. “I am looking forward to serving on the executive committee and helping to steer decisions that will address and fulfill the needs of the security community both now and in the future."

Mr. De Fina’s career spans more than three decades in the professional electronics industry. Along with his designation as SIA’s Vice-Chairman, he also holds positions on the International Biometrics Industry Association (IBIA) and is a board member of the Paley Center for Media (formerly Museum of Television and Radio) as well as a member of the board of the New York Friar’s Club Foundation.

“Frank has provided outstanding service to SIA as a member of the Board of Directors," SIA CEO Don Erickson said. “Now that he is on the SIA Executive Committee, the organisation will benefit even more from his incredible knowledge of the industry, insight into emerging trends, and commitment to promoting the overall growth of the electronic physical security sector.
