QNAP Releases new Viostor firmware
Taipei, Taiwan
QNAP Surveillance Client for Mac, featured with easy-to-use surveillance interface, enables Mac users to easily run live-view and playback tasks. "We have been working on the cross-platform surveillance management to provide users running different operating systems greater convenience," said Andrew Yu, product manager of QNAP Security. "The offering of QNAP Surveillance Client for Mac clearly shows our attention to Mac users. From now on, in addition to Android mobile/tablets, IOS mobile devices, widescreen VGA monitors or TV by HD local display, and Windows PC, Mac users can now also work with QNAP Viostor NVR solutions."
In Viostor firmware V3.6.0, further improvements include enhanced system reliability for long-term recording and the newly supported hard disk warning alert which offers a pop-up reminder about the disk operation time when the value reaches the preset hours, effectively keeping the administrators well informed of the hard disk status before any hard disk fails completely.
Viostor stand-alone NVRs offer remote monitoring from multiple servers, supporting up to 128 channels of video. The embedded NVR provides rich network video functionality, such as intelligent video analysis (IVA), advanced event management and watermarking. Security managers can obtain useful visual aids with detailed E-maps on the monitoring page to improve management efficiency, along with receiving real-time reporting through text messages and emails.
The Viostor NVR combines both storage and the security monitoring function all in one comprehensive package. The Viostor V3.6.0 firmware upgrade is available for download at the company's web site.
