QNAP new Viostor NVR up to 450 Mbps throughput

QNAP Security has launched its latest 12-bay, 2U rackmount Viostor NVR VS-12100U-RP Pro+ series, available in 64, 56, 48 and 40 channels for high-end SMBs.
Powered by a Quad-core Intel Core i5 processor and 8Gb DDR3 memory, the new series delivers exceptional performance with up to 450 Mbps throughput to ensure stable recording of multiple megapixel IP cameras.

The VS-12100U-RP Pro+ series supports up to 48Tb raw storage capacity to accommodate high quality H.264, MPEG-4, M-JPEG, and MxPEG video recording. Moreover, the HDMI output and hardware decoder provide the ability to deliver up to 300fps full HD local display. "The VS-12100U-RP Pro+ series is our highest-class offering that features ultra-high performance and large storage to cope with rigorous requests of high definition video recording, full HD local display and data storage," said Amily Fang, product manager of QNAP Security. The VS-12100U-RP Pro+ series supports Windows and Mac platforms with QNAP’s surveillance client software for Windows and for Mac, and the Vmobile surveillance app for IOS, Android and Windows Mobile 6.1 to 6.5 devices. Users can manage the Viostor NVR via the web-based administration interface using Google Chrome, Microsoft Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox browsers, or enjoy the mobile app Vmobile to monitor linked IP cameras anytime and anywhere on the go.

The VS-12100U-RP Pro+ series provides professional features for business environments, including fisheye dewarping function, multi-server monitoring, and advanced event management. The fisheye dewarping function is supported for specific fisheye cameras and cameras with panomorph lens on handling remote monitoring, playback and local display. Multi-server monitoring enables users to connect multiple Viostor NVRs and monitor up to 128 IP cameras with one browser on remote computers. Advanced event management supports 5 alarm events, including motion detection, alarm input, connection failure, recording failure and user-defined event. Every event could be assigned with 7 types of event action, including recording, PTZ control, alarm output, email notification, SMS notification, buzzer notification, and user-defined action, keeping administrators stay alerted immediately.

The Viostor NVR is now compatible with over 1,800 IP camera models of various popular brands, offering businesses high flexibility in deploying an ideal surveillance solution.
