Pixim wins homeland security award

Mountain View, California (USA)

Pixim Inc., a leading provider of imaging technology for enterprise security cameras, announces that its Digital Pixel System technology won Best All Digital Technology from GSN: Government Security News during the 1st Annual Homeland Security Awards Ceremony.

The 1st annual awards were handed out at a gala dinner and awards ceremony at the Roosevelt Hotel in New York City, where an overflow crowd celebrated the outstanding achievements of security vendors and government agencies at the federal, state, and municipal levels. About 300 government officials and industry executives packed the grand ballroom of the Manhattan hotel on Oct. 27, 2009 to witness the winner announcements.

"The competition was stiff, and our panel of independent judges had to make some very tough choices, but we think we've identified the 'best of the best' for 2009," said Jacob Goodwin, the editor-in-chief of GSN: Government Security News, who oversaw the evaluation process.

"Pixim is thrilled to accept this award," stated John Monti, Pixim's vice president of marketing and business development. "Our Digital Pixel System technology is the security industry's only all-digital image capture solution. It is unique in the security industry for its advanced support of "green" light sources, including popular compact fluorescent lights, low frequency fluorescent tubes, and modulated LEDs. Pixim's patented Enhanced Flicker Reduction technology eliminates common flicker problems seen on older video cameras including pulsating brightness, color rolling, and repeated LED blackout."

Pixim received an inscribed trophy and a certificate to honor its success.
