OD enhances Soter RS through body scanner

Houston, Tx (USA)

OD Security recently launched their new and improved version of the Soter RS through body scanner at the American Correctional Association (ACA) in Houston, USA.
“The new version of Soter RS raises the bar in terms of scannability and functionality.....” said CEO of OD Security, Mr Jan Steven Van Wingerden.

He continued, “Having listened to our existing customers we have encompassed the benefits of the Soter RS with the new user friendly features and improved design. The frame and platform have a smaller footprint, just 5,278 mm². The motor has been integrated into the frame, and there will be 2 X-ray options. We have included a multi operator option, and the operator desk(s) have been upgraded with a multi-touch user interface, touch screen zoom and scrolling making the unit much more user friendly. The new Dicom format and Ethernet connections are unique features allowing trouble-free sharing of information with medical institutions.”

“We have incorporated some of the very best features of the new tablet technology such as image drag and two finger image expansion and shrink. Not only does this make the Soter RS a more effective tool but means that it uses tools and features already familiar to users, making training and daily use that much easier.”

The Soter RS is a low dosage full body scanner which combines ultra low radiation with maximum visibility, for use at airports and prisons. Within seconds the Soter RS reveals hidden items, such as weapons or narcotics, diamonds, or any stolen or smuggled goods. It doesn’t even have to be metal. The Soter shows a clear difference between human tissues and other materials. Even ingested or camouflaged items will be shown.
