New versions of LSN interface module 420 series

Ottobrunn, Germany

Bosch Security Systems is introducing three new devices to its Interface Module 420 Series for use with the latest and improved version of the company's well-known Local SecurityNetwork (LSN) bus for Fire Alarm Systems from Bosch.

The RLE-S Interface Module provides secure supervision and control of external applications, such as fire extinguishing systems. The module is in conformity with the VdS 2496: 2005 standard and operates from a low supply current. It features a low voltage relay, two supervised input lines plus one input line that can be programmed as a relay feedback. The module is DIN-rail mountable but is also delivered with a housing for surface mounting.

The 420 Series now also includes an Octo-Output Interface Module with 2 inputs for controlling LED tableaus. Each of the inputs features a monitoring function (EOL or contact) that can be selected individually. The module also has eight individually-switchable open collector outputs that are electrically isolated from the LSN loop and short-circuit proof. Maximum switchable current per output is 700 mA. The module comes with a pluggable terminal block for easy wiring.

The new Output-Input Interface Module for controlling external devices features an open-collector output which is electrically isolated from the LSN loop and short-circuit proof, a maximum switchable current per output of 700 mA, and individually-selectable input monitoring functions. It is available in a DIN-rail and an in-built version.

In common with all modules in the 420 Series, the new additions are delivered in a robust, installer-friendly housing with the electronics encapsulated inside.
