The new media converters measure just 2" x 2" x 1", and are specially designed to be robust enough to withstand the challenging extremes that face security installations. The industrial AFI9HMEC mini media converters are PoE capable and small enough to be installed in confined spaces provided by camera poles, cabinets and NEMA enclosures. They are durable enough to withstand temperatures as low as -40 and high as +70 degrees Celsius.

These converters provide a cost effective means of converting IP signals over long distances with the 100Mbps or Gigabit Ethernet uplink across fibre via the SFP port.

The new product offering is TAA compliant, easy to install being DIN rail mountable and non-programmable, and in addition link fault forwarding offers an extra layer of security.
