New CCD cameras from Lumenera

Canada

Lumenera releases new series of CCD cameras.

The new Lm cameras by Lumenera measure a mere 44 × 44 × 56 mm. A single USB 2.0 connection provides for data transfer, camera control, and power supply. The Lm camera line is suitable for industrial and scientific users seeking CCD-level image quality despite the most demanding space constraints.

The Lm line currently includes three models with adjustable 8-bit or 12-bit conversion. Lm165 and Lm135, the two 1.4 megapixel cameras, differ mainly in terms of sensitivity.

Lm075 transmits image data in VGA quality via the USB port. Binning and the programmable restriction to certain regions of interest enable users to flexibly increase the frame rate. All three models feature three bi-directional I/O ports that can be attached and remote-controlled using peripheral equipment.

A comprehensive SDK is available for application developers. Drivers are DirectShow- and DirectX-compatible and can be easily integrated in applications on WindowsT 98, SE, ME, 2000, and XP.
