Mission 500 charity run shifts to virtual format

Miami, Fl

The Mission 500 Security 5k/2k annual fundraiser, which has traditionally taken place on site at ISC West, is shifting to a virtual format so that the organisation can continue to sustain support for children in need across the U.S.A. during these challenging times.

To participate, all runners/walkers must register for the Mission 500 Security 5k/2k virtual event, and if entering for the award categories, can track the results of their activity between Friday, October 2 and Wednesday, October 7 at 12pm EDT to submit their personal results on an honour system. Previously registered Mission 500 Security 5k/2k do not have to register again.

A virtual 5k/2k Awards Ceremony, sponsored by Axis Communications, will be held on October 7th, the final day of the ISC West Virtual Event.

“We encourage all security industry professionals to participate in the event so we can continue to come together in support of such a great cause during these difficult times,” said Ken Gould, Mission 500 Chairman.

Mission 500 is accepting new registrants and corporate sponsorships are still available. Teams are encouraged to particpate and the Mission 500 team is available to assist.

Amongst the virtual sponsors already committed to the event are ISC West & Security Systems News (Organising Sponsors) Brinks & HID Global; Alarm.com, Altronix, Anixter, Axis, LRG Marketing Communications, Milestone, Napco, Safe Technology International; Bosch; Ditek, Lensec, and Honeywell.
