The industrial and PoE capable AFI9HMEC Ultra Mini Media Converters are offered as ideal for connecting field-based equipment to Ethernet networks over long distances via fibre.

Specially designed to withstand the challenging extremes that face security installations, the AFI9HMEC ultra mini media converters are small enough to be installed in confined spaces provided by camera poles, cabinets and NEMA enclosures. They are durable enough to withstand temperatures as low as -40 and high as +70 degrees Celsius.

These converters provide a cost effective means of converting IP signals over long distances with the 100Mbps or Gigabit Ethernet uplink across fibre via the SFP port.

Additional features include ease of installation as they are DIN rail mountable and non-programmable; they are equipped with Link Fault Forwarding (media converters share their link status) offering an extra layer of security.  Also the SFP port provides endless fibre options and according to AFI they are cost effectively priced.
