L-3 Communications to integrate ExitSentry into airport checkpoint solutions

Cernium Corporation has signed a license agreement under which L-3 Communications Security and Detection Systems (L-3 SDS) may integrate Cernium's ExitSentry passenger flow monitoring capability into L-3 SDS' checkpoint solutions suite of products for the airport market. ExitSentry will augment the checkpoint solutions offering to include protection for concourse exit lanes.

ExitSentry is a product for airport concourse exit lane monitoring, with more than 60 units installed in 35 major airports across North America. Introduced in 1998, ExitSentry was the first commercial product to make practical use of advanced video analytics technology for a critical security application. ExitSentry automatically watches people and object flow to identify and alert on wrong-way motion from public to secure areas, providing essential security for checkpoints while dramatically reducing the possibility for human error.
