IPX launches affordable indoor dome

Farmingdale, NJ

IPX International has just announced the release of the DDK-1700DI 2 megapixel indoor dome camera. With its introduction, IPX achieves another milestone in making megapixel IP video surveillance affordable for mainstream applications.
The DDK-1700DI includes all the features required in a professional grade IP camera including varifocal lens, triple codec, onboard storage, day/night and IR illuminators.

Furthermore, ONVIF profile S conformance ensures out-of-the-box compatibility with most popular VMS/NVR platforms. According to the company, the thing that truly differentiates the DDK-1700DI is the price point. “Most low-cost IP domes use fixed, wide angle lenses”, says IPX Director of Sales Paul Davis, “once you move to a high-quality dome with a varifocal lens the prices jump dramatically. The DDK-1700DI is a full featured, varifocal dome at a price-point comparable to a lower-end, fixed-lens dome camera”.

A varifocal lens allows the installer to readily adjust the camera’s field-of-view, offering greater flexibility on a wide range of network video applications.
